The absolute best part of my writing journey so far has been hearing back from kids who've read BRAINZ. It seems like under the age of 12 is the last time kids get genuinely excited about anything. Luckily, a bunch of kids have been getting excited about BRAINZ!

 I've been working toward getting a book published for going on five years now. That dream finally came true last week.
BOOKS MAKE BRAINZ TASTE BAD, my debut middle-grade novel, hit the #1 New Release across three different categories on Amazon the day it was released. That ranking has nothing to do with the book, because most people haven’t even read it at this point. That’s all about people like you, and the support you've shown me. Yes, that's a BRAINZ CAKE! There were even candles and a mash-up version of "Happy BRAINZ DAY... to Daddy!" I'm not gonna lie, this surprise party brought tears to my eyes. Writing can be a lonely business, but needless to say, I'm one of the lucky ones!
Special thanks to my beautiful wife, for putting the whole thing together. And, yes, that's a harmonica in my daughter's hands. She also came up with her first blurb: "My daddy writes AWESOME books!" |
